A year later!

And here we are, a year later. One year, enough time to make changes, even little ones, and get healthy. But somehow I weigh a few pounds more instead of many pounds less. BUT! Over the past few months I HAVE made changes! I've started training for the Breast Cancer 3-Day and started working with a personal trainer. I feel strong and flexible, and my diet has improved somewhat as well. Still working on portion control, but my choices are greatly improved since last year. I feel like I'm laying the groundwork for more change. I'm at a place now where I'm celebrating the small victories - like doing an 11-mile training walk and feeling great the next day, or eating 3 servings of fruit in a day instead of 3 trips to the vending machine. At 41, I'm no longer expecting to be skinny, just strong and healthy. Tomorrow I'll weigh in and start charting my progress again and build on the positive changes I've already made.
